ACEC Political Action Committee
In 2015, ACEC Colorado members contributed a record $50,085 to the national ACEC Political Action Committee (PAC). ACEC PAC had challenged Colorado to raise $49,356 of its $1 million national goal. Thanks to all of the 2015 contributors (as of Dec, 31). ACEC National’s 2016 PAC goal for Colorado is $48,150.
Please remember that the ACEC PAC is funded by personal contributions from individuals at member firms, like you, to help elect candidates to Congress who support pro-business, pro-engineering positions. Contributors are invited to attend private events, such as last fall’s networking fundraiser in Denver at a new golf entertainment center.
In the 2013-14 election cycle, ACEC PAC contributed $1.76 million to support 318 federal candidates and committees that took favorable positions on issues such as funding for transportation and infrastructure projects (including water and aviation), energy and environmental programs, and changes to the federal tax code. The national goal for 2015 was to raise $1 million to support pro-engineering candidates. ACEC PAC is bipartisan and operates out in the open in full compliance with the Federal Election Campaign Act and applicable state laws. ACEC Colorado leadership (not national staff) determines which federal candidates ACEC PAC supports in Colorado. Visit the ACEC PAC homepage to learn more (login required).
