ACEC Colorado 2019 Engineering Excellence Awards

ACEC Colorado is hosting the EEA How-To-Enter Workshop
Thursday, June 14, 8-10 a.m.
ACEC Colorado (Denver)

Strategies to Develop Winning Award Submissions
Awards are an important part of gaining your firm recognition and differentiating you from your competitors.  Through effective communication of your firm’s story using awards submissions as a strategic tool, clients have an ‘objective critique’ of your firm’s work ranking you as ‘excellent.’
Workshop admission is complimentary for the EEA How-To-Enter Workshop; however, registration is required.

Learn More About How To . . .
– Support your firm’s strategic initiatives through award submissions
– Align award opportunities with the firm’s strategic and operational goals
– Develop message/story with the program guidelines, focused on
(1) the clients drivers for the project
(2) the solutions developed to address challenges
(3) the outcomes benefiting the client
– Effectively support the story with graphics and images
– Take the mystery out of the Engineering Excellence Awards submission and judging                process, including how to submit a project using the online portal and what the judges          are really looking for when evaluating projects.

Participants in this session are eligible for a $100 discount off their first project entry fee for the 2019 Engineering Excellence Awards (discount code will be given out at the workshop). There is no fee for this workshop; however, registration is required.

Eligibility
Any Colorado engineering or surveying firm is eligible to enter the EEA program, regardless of whether the firm is an ACEC Colorado member. Projects entered into the ACEC Colorado competition may have been executed anywhere in the world; however, to be eligible, at least 50 percent of the project work must have been done by the entering firm’s Colorado office. Construction of projects entered into the 2018 competition must have been substantially completed and ready for use between Nov. 1, 2016-Sept. 17, 2018. Noncompliance with the Official Rules may disqualify an entry. ACEC Colorado will not be responsible for any damages to or loss of entered materials. The ACEC Colorado Awards Committee reserves the right to determine the eligibility for all entries. Entries must meet the judges’ rating guidelines found in the Official Rules.

The ACEC Colorado Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) program annually recognizes consulting engineering firms for projects that demonstrate an exceptional degree of innovation, complexity, achievement and value.  For 50 years, Colorado firms have entered their most innovative projects and studies into this competition. The ACEC Colorado EEA program generally follows entry guidelines established for the ACEC National EEA program.
